In the founding year of the Handiclapped – Kultur e.V. association, only a few music enthusiasts with disabilities went to concerts. The club wanted to change that. That's why a separate band was founded in 2009 for all people who, due to their handicap, are unable to attend normal concerts or even make music themselves. Under the name "Handiclapped-Band", rock, pop, Schlager, hip-hop, but also sometimes choir singing or flamenco have been played with enthusiasm and the atmosphere at concerts has been created.
cds Wohnbau Berlin GmbH is pleased to be able to support the handiclapped band this year.
Peter Mandel, project manager of Handiclappes-Kultur e.V.: "We can use your donation very well, e.g. for renting barrier-free rooms, instruments and technology for our association-sponsored Handiclapped Band, fees for musicians, catering, GEMA fees, dance and band workshops, etc.".
Thanks to the commitment of the association and many donations, the concerts are more affordable. They also start earlier, so people who need help or helpers or who come with the transport service can also come. Rock music and dance workshops are offered and specialist congresses on the subject of music are held. The band can be seen in the Pfefferberg, in the Alte Feuerwache Friedrichshain and in the YAAM in Berlin.
